Tamil Nadu Higher Education Assurance Scheme has been launched by the Government of Tamil Nadu. This scheme has been started to support the girl students who are studying in government colleges by providing them monthly deposit in order to encourage them for higher education. This scheme was announced by the Finance Minister Palnivel Thiyaga Rajan on 18th March 2022. This scheme is going to benefit approximate six lakh girls of the state.

Government is going to provide financial assistance to the girl students directly in their bank account. Amount under the Tamil Nadu Higher Education Assurance Scheme is Rs 1000 per month which means 12000 per year. तमिलनाडु उच्च शिक्षा आश्वासन योजना तमिलनाडु सरकार द्वारा शुरू की गई है। Tamil Nadu Higher Education Assurance Scheme 2023 सरकारी महाविद्यालयों में पढ़ने वाली छात्राओं को उच्च शिक्षा के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए मासिक जमा राशि प्रदान करने के लिए शुरू की गई है। इस योजना की घोषणा 18 मार्च 2022 को वित्त मंत्री पल्निवेल त्यागा राजन ने की थी। इस योजना से राज्य की लगभग छह लाख लड़कियों को लाभ होने वाला है।

Objective Of TN Higher Education Assurance Scheme
Many girls students drop their education after 12th due to weak financial condition of their family. Girls literacy rate is not increasing. Considering this issue Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to help those students. The motive of the government of Tamil Nadu behind Tamil Nadu Higher Education Assurance Scheme is to financially support to the girls so that they can continue their education without depending on anyone. Moreover, the government want to improve the literacy rate of the state and to make the girls self-dependent.

By implementing this scheme, the government is going to provide financial assistance to the girls students so that they can continue their higher education. Girl students who are starting in government schools from class 6th to 12th will be benefited under this scheme. For the successful implementation of the scheme the government is going to spend 698 crores on this TN Higher Education Assurance Scheme.
