Post-Doctoral Fellowship in India 2024:- The postdoctoral scholarship will be provided to the women candidates who are currently pursuing PhD degrees in their respective subjects but are also unemployed due to certain circumstances. The target beneficiaries will be unemployed women with PhD degrees and an interest in the research academic field. You can apply for this Post-Doctoral Fellowship in India Program by following the eligibility criteria and filling up the application form. 25000 Rupees per month will be provided and after 2 years 30000 Rupees per month will be provided to each of the beneficiaries.

Benefits Of The Post-Doctoral Fellowship in India

- HRA: Hostel fees excluding mess, electricity, water charges etc. may be reimbursed under this scholarship provided that accommodation is provided in hostels recognized/run by the institutions under Post Doctoral Fellowship. A certificate to this effect should be submitted through the Registrar/Director/Principal (Annexure-II). If a Post Doctoral Fellow makes her own arrangement for accommodation, she may be entitled to receive HRA as per classification of cities by the Government of India. The Post Doctoral Fellow has to submit a certificate for this purpose to UGC for claiming HRA through the concerned University/Institution/College.

Eligibility Criteria Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Women Candidates 2025
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for this Post-Doctoral Fellowship in India:-
- The applicant women candidates should be unemployed.
- An applicant should have done Ph. D. He/ she will be required to produce the certification for the Ph. D. Those students with Provisional Certificates can also apply for the scholarship.
- The General Category candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks at the Under-graduate level and 60% marks at the Post-graduation level. The reserved category candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD are given relaxation in the minimum marks requirement.
- The SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks at the Undergraduate level and 55% marks at the Post-graduation level.
- An applicant should not be more than 55 years of age. The reserved category candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD are given an age relaxation of 5 years.
- The applicant should produce the ‘No Objection Certificate’ duly under-signed by the Head of the institution.

Implementation Procedure Post-Doctoral Fellowship in India
This Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Women Candidates 2025 will be implemented by the authorities by following the following procedure:-
- The online applications received will be scrutinized by the screening committee. Later, the shortlisted candidates will be called to appear before the selection committee, constituted by the Commission.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview to the candidates.
- The decision of the Commission will be final.
- The award is subject to UGC guidelines and will be effective from the actual date of joining the University/Institution.
- The last date for joining the award is one month from the date of issue of this letter, failing which the award will be treated as cancelled. The Commission reserves the right to withdraw/cancel the award without assigning any reason.
