The Karnataka Mathrushree Scheme was introduced in 2018 by Mr. H.D. Kumarswamy the previous chief minister of the state of Karnataka. Pregnant women in the state of Karnataka would receive monthly financial help from the Karnataka government in the amount of Rs. 1,000 under this scheme. This sum will be given to the expecting woman up to the delivery of the child. The women’s bank account which is connected to their Aadhaar will receive this money transfer.
